T-Dimension is a Hong Kong based online digital equipment provider, established in 2001 and founded by Derek and Joe.
Normally, when boys study in university, they tend to do part time jobs, date girlfriends, play sports and so on. Derek & Joe did not have any ideas about running a business. One simple thing changed them. One day after lectures, they wanted to replace their old cell phones with new ones. They have heard about eBay, so they took a glance on the website, surprisingly, used phones¡¦ prices were quite high, they saw an opportunity. So, the first eBay account was registered.
How did they (2 teenagers) manage their small business with limited money and resources? At that time, they bought used mobile phones in Sham Shui Po (Hong Kong) and resold them in eBay Australia. When they graduated, they decided to expand the business by selling more types of products. In the early periods, they had no staffs. They were one man bank. In 2003, the first employee was hired. She was responsible for packaging. After a few months, there were more types of products like cameras, TV games & consoles, PDAs, MP3 Player and LCD. Virtually, the company was selling all electronic gadgets.
Until now, they have 17 eBay accounts specializing different markets and the group is one of the biggest seller in Hong Kong.
